Winter 2007 and Spring 2008

October 2007, a very successful EnCana fundraising event held by Cindy Wolfe took place

November 2007, MHF’s directors, Cindy Wolfe and John Toth visited our Philippine sister organization (MHA) on a Mission Trip. They participated in several outreach projects, ministering to over 600 individuals!

February 2008, Additional board directors in both MHF and MHA hired

March 2008, IMEC (Irisan Medical Emergency Clinic) is now offering additional services and are operating 24/7 under the management of the new local community leaders. This has been a tremendous stepping stone, as this project is currently 12months ahead of schedule!

As an ongoing project with the Metro Baguio Rotary Club, several more community and jail medical outreach projects were undertaken

In an attempt to reach out to the younger Filipino community, we have had a meeting with the FSA (Filipino Students Association) from the University of Calgary where future partnerships may ensue

Completed and filed our 2006-2007 frisco year with the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency)

Winter 2006/2007

Our Philippine association MHA Inc. is in the process of partnering with the local Rotary Club (Metro Baguio Rotary Club) to operate and manage our Irisan Emergency Medical Clinic (IMEC) project. Irisan community leaders are also providing manpower and materials for the clinic's operations. We are truly excited to see the local communities taking ownership of and responsibility for these projects.

In December 2006 we received a large generous donation of medical instruments and medications from the Calgary (Alberta, Canada) Correctional Center. They will be shipped to the Philippines for distribution, where these kind of donations are a real treasure and definitely very useful. These donations will allow MHF and MHA to continue its good work of saving lives and building bonds of respect and friendship with the medical and service community in the Baguio area.

In March 2007 we received a very generous mission offering from Friends Church's from Friends Church’s congregation (Calgary, Alberta). Friends Church has committed to supporting MHF as an official mission ministry and, in addition to taking one offering per year, has agreed to finance the airfare for two mission trips per year to the Philippines for our Executive Director John Toth.
